Privacy Notice

How we handle your information.

This notice explains what RJ Autonomous collects through the website, contact form, and ApexAudit tools, how we use that information, and how you can ask us to change or delete it.

At a Glance

We collect the information you give us (like your name and email through the contact form or audit tools) and standard server logs that come with running a website. We use it to respond to you, deliver the audit or report you requested, and keep the site secure.

Who We Are

RJ Autonomous

RJ Autonomous is a digital firm based in Arlington, Virginia, serving the Washington, DC metro and clients nationally. We provide AI automation, web development, custom software, and managed digital services. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” in this notice mean RJ Autonomous.

You can reach us about anything in this notice at info@rjautonomous.com.

What We Collect

Information you give us, and information collected automatically.

Information you provide directly

When you fill out our contact form, request an ApexAudit report, run an ApexSEO audit, or otherwise reach out to us, we collect what you choose to send — typically your name, email address, company, the website or URL you’re asking us to look at, and the message or answers you provide. If you purchase a premium audit, our payment processor collects the information needed to complete the transaction; we do not store full payment card details on our servers.

Information collected automatically

When you visit rjautonomous.com, our hosting provider records standard server log information — IP address, browser type, referring page, the page you requested, and the date and time. This is the kind of data any website on the public internet receives, and we use it for security, debugging, and aggregate traffic understanding.

We may use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (for example, to remember your light or dark theme preference). We do not currently run advertising trackers or sell behavioral data to third parties. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this notice and the cookie behavior accordingly.

Information from audit tools

When you run an ApexAudit or ApexSEO audit, we process the website URL you submit and the answers you provide so we can generate your report. We may store the inputs and the resulting report so you can retrieve it later, so we can improve our scoring, and so we can follow up if you ask us to.

How We Use It

Why we collect what we collect.

We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiry, deliver the report or service you requested, send transactional emails (like an audit completion notice or a project update), keep the site and our infrastructure secure, and — only if you opted in — send occasional updates about our work.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. The audit scoring is informational, not a binding evaluation.

Who We Share With

Service providers, no advertisers.

We share information with a small set of service providers who help us run the business — for example, our hosting provider (Vercel), our email delivery provider, and the payment processor that handles premium audit purchases. Each of them only receives the minimum information needed to do their job, and each is bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if we’re legally required to do so, or if we need to protect the rights, property, or safety of RJ Autonomous, our clients, or the public.

How Long We Keep It

Only as long as we need to.

We keep contact form messages and audit submissions long enough to respond to your inquiry, deliver the work, and meet our reasonable business and tax record-keeping needs. Server logs are retained for a short rolling window for security and debugging. If you ask us to delete your information and we don’t have a legal reason to keep it, we will.

Your Rights

What you can ask us to do.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct it if it’s wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to limit how we use it, or receive a copy of it in a portable format. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and the European Economic Area / United Kingdom have specific rights under their local laws, and we honor those rights regardless of where we’re based.

To make a request, email us at info@rjautonomous.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests, and we’ll respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Security

How we protect your information.

The site runs on encrypted connections (HTTPS) and is hosted on infrastructure with industry-standard physical, network, and access controls. We limit who on our team can access submitted information, and we review access regularly. No system on the public internet is perfectly secure, but we treat the data you share with us with care.

Children

Our services are for adults.

Our website and tools are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact info@rjautonomous.com and we’ll delete it.

International Visitors

Where your information is processed.

RJ Autonomous is based in the United States, and the service providers we use may also process information in the United States. If you visit the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the site, you understand that this transfer takes place.

We’ll tell you when this changes.

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top, and for material changes we’ll do something more visible — like a banner on the site or a direct email if we have one for you.
